What’s up sports fans!!
My name is Kenny Abitbol, and you are at The Sleeper Pick, an under-the-radar sports blog by three passionate sports fanatics.
Here is a little bio about yours truly:
I am currently studying Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University. Born and raised in Queens, New York, I attended many Yankees and Mets games (including a few of the Subway-Series). I used to go to my grandfather’s house and watch the World Series on his little 10″ TV. In second grade, My family and I picked up and headed to South Beach (well, somewhere near there: Boca Raton, FL) Enjoying my middle school days in the Florida heat, I became more and more in tune with sports and more specifically, sports analysis. I then moved to Houston for high school. That is where I solidified my thoughts on my favorite teams, read Moneyball, and began my study of the ever-important topic of saber metrics. While I had wanted to be a Houston fan, I knew I was a Yank at heart.
I have always loved fierce sports debates (The Babe vs. The Hammer, 04 Yankees v. Red Sox, Top 5 Rankings, etc…), and have been a champion at fantasy sports. While my favorite sport is baseball, I follow basketball, football, soccer, hockey, and college sports to the world’s end.
Writing has also been a passion of mine; I love to write short stories, poems, and critical essays on hot topics.
The combination of these extremes has led me to create The Sleeper Pick. Yoni, Kyle, (my co-writers) and I are here to set the record straight and give you the latest and greatest sports news and analysis.
My writing concentration lies with baseball. I have a keen insight when it comes to predictions, and am always playing around with sabermetrics.
I hope you guys will enjoy reading the articles, and if you have any questions or comments please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org, or follow me at @Th3Titan.
