NFL Week 14 – Picks Revisited

Every Tuesday or Wednesday I will go over the previous week of games, with a note or two on the game. To see my picks with notes from the past week, click here!

Week 14 (Predicted Winners in Bold and Italicized) (If the pick has a line through it, then I incorrectly picked that team to win):

DEN @ OAK – One of the easier games to pick this week that didn’t turn into an upset. Broncos controlled the game throughout both on offense and defense.

KC @ CLE – After an early long run for a TD by Charles, it looked like the Chiefs might steal one. The Browns were able to come back and win this game.

SD @ PIT – I was shocked to see this game to be such a blowout. Rivers had a great game, and the defense was able to stop the Steelers early, giving up most of their points when the game was out of hand.

TEN @ IND – Big win against the Titans after a rough start to the game. A pretty clear bad call when Luck’s knees were down before the ball was thrown for a pick-6, but the Colts were able to overcome that and take the game.

NYJ @ JAX – Huge win for the Jets as they kept their playoff hopes alive. They didn’t need Sanchez to do much except hand the ball off to Greene and Powell, and their defense was able to stop Henne and the Jaguars.

CHI @ MIN – Terrible loss by the Bears and it’s not looking good for them in the future. The Vikings were led by Peterson who had over 100 yards rushing just in the first quarter.

BAL @ WSH – When RG3 went down late in the 4th, many people didn’t think that Cousins can lead the Skins to a comeback, but he did throwing for a TD late in 4th, and running it in for the two point conversion. A bad overtime loss for the Ravens.

ATL @ CAR – After the Falcons kept winning and winning when I would pick them to lose, I decided that maybe the Falcons are for real. Well they looked terrible this week, and Newton ate them apart.

DAL @ CIN – The Bengals had the lead throughout the whole game, except when it matters the most. They were not able to keep the ball moving late in the game, and the Cowboys were able to finish the game with a game-winning FG by Bailey.

PHI @ TBAnother sup rising outcome. It looked like the Bucs had this game, but Foles was able to lead the Eagles to their first victory since September, and give the city of Philadelphia some hope at the quarterback position.

STL @ BUF – The Bills blew any hope they had at a late december run by losing to the Rams in Buffalo. Just a pathetic game in general. Bradford was able to make a fourth quarter comeback to lead the Rams to victory.

MIA @ SF – Dolphins ended their hopes of a playoff push with a loss against the 49’ers. Kaepernick played a better game then last week, but needs to keep improving.

NO @ NYG – Not the result I expected, as the Giants played some great football. This game looked like a blowout, then Saints made a bit of a run, but the Giants were able to close the door in nice fashion.

ARZ @ SEA – An expected result as this is what I wrote for my picks last week:

ARZ @ SEA –   Simple. Cardinals suck PERIOD. Seahawks AWESOME at home.

DET @ GB – The Packers were able to defeat the Lions in a big game for the Packers. They took the lead in the division and came out of the game relatively healthy.

HOU @ NE – What a slaughter. Texans exposed again on national-tv, as the Patriots were able to do anything they wanted to last night.

Overall Week 14 Record: 7-9

Overall Season Record: 128-79-1

Power Rankings for Week 15 will be up before game time on Thursday.
