NFL Week 9 – Picks Revisited
Every Tuesday or Wednesday I will go over the previous week of games, with a note or two on the game. To see my picks and notes for the past week, click here.
Week 9 (Predicted Winners in Bold and Italicized) (If the pick has a line through it, then I incorrectly picked that team to win):
KC @ SD – Chiefs never stood a chance, as Rivers and the defense controlled this game.
CHI @ TEN – The best defense in the league destroyed the Titans, and the offense was able to score when given the opportunity.
ARZ @ GB – Rodgers continues to roll.
WSH – Maybe the Panthers are becoming the team they were supposed to be this year.
DEN @ CIN – Manning playing at a high level, and the Broncos were able to win on the road.
DET @ JAX – Lions did what they were supposed to do.
BUF @ HOU – Texans struggled early, but pretty much controlled the game the whole way through.
CLE – Browns played a close game, but couldn’t pull through. MIA @ IND – Luck threw the ball for a rookie-record 433 yards, and the Colts were able to pull out the win.
TB @ OAK – Doug Martin becoming one of the best running backs in the league.
MIN @ SEA – Russell Wilson did a good job throwing the ball, and the Seahawks defense did enough to stop the struggling Ponder.
PIT @ NYG – A good comeback by the Steelers, as the Eli Manning could not get it going for his third straight game.
DAL @ ATL – The Cowboys again couldn’t pull out the win, and the Falcons were able to do just enough to stay undefeated.
PHI @ NO – People that want Foles as the QB, don’t realize that he would do even worse than Vick behind that terrible O-Line. At least Vick can escape the pocket a few times. Foles not mobile enough and would be eaten alive.
Overall Week 9 Record: 9-5
Overall Season Record: 79-52
Power Rankings for Week 10 will be up before game time on Thursday.
