NFL Week 9 – Picks
Every Sunday I will be making picks for each game of every week. The game that occurs before that Sunday will be picked in the previous article of updated power rankings each week. This past Thursday, I correctly picked the Chargers to beat the Chiefs. Here are the rest of my picks for Week 9:
Week 9 (Winners in Bold and Italicized):
CHI @ TEN – Possible trap game against a solid team at home. Titans can put up points, but Chicago one of the best at preventing points. If Chicago offense can get moving, the bears will win this game.
ARZ @ GB – Cardinals are on a downhill path, Packers on the rise.
CAR @ WSH – Redskins should win this one if RG3’s receivers can catch the ball.
DEN @ CIN – Bengals haven’t shown that they are capable of beating the better teams in the league.
DET @ JAX – Lions coming into the game with momentum against one of the worst teams in the league.
BUF @ HOU – Both teams coming off bye. Special teams will be a big battle with the Bills being one of the best, and the Texans being one of the worst.
BAL @ CLE – UPSET! T-Rich should be able to run around at will, and Weeden should have a solid game without Webb playing for the Ravens.
MIA @ IND – Dolphins could easily be 6-1 and if they lose, would be a bad loss for this playoff-hopeful team.
TB @ OAK – Raiders coming into the game hot, but so are the Bucs. Bucs offense should have a good day against the Raiders.
MIN @ SEA – Both teams coming off losses. Seahawks are almost impossible to beat at home, but Vikings have a good enough team to change that.
PIT @ NYG – Giants have been inconsistent, and the Steelers are coming in with momentum. Should be a really good game.
DAL @ ATL – Both teams without key players on defense. Falcons are undefeated, but I’ll take the Cowboys to finally pull out a win.
PHI @ NO – Don’t feel great about either of these teams. I’ll take the home team.
That wraps up the picks for week 9. I will update my (hopefully) above .500 record every Tuesday or Wednesday. Looking forward to having a great Sunday. Good luck to your hometown team, and as always, Go Texans!
