NFL Week 8 – Picks Revisited
Every Tuesday or Wednesday I will go over the previous week of games, with a note or two on the game. To see my picks and notes for the past week, click here.
Week 8 (Predicted Winners in Bold and Italicized) (If the pick has a line through it, then I incorrectly picked that team to win):
MIN – Doug Martin had a huge game as the Bucs handled the Vikings pretty easily. SD @ CLE – Looks like the Indians beat the Padres 7-6. A win is a win I suppose for the Browns. Pathetic game.
JAX @ GB – Jaguars had a lot of fight in them, but not enough to be at the Packers.
PHI – UPSET! Windy weather will force the Eagles to run more, which they should have been doing all season with McCoy.
TEN – Titans had their shots, but Colts with a big win in OT.
MIA @ NYJ – Didn’t come down to the end, as the Dolphins dominated the Jets.
NE @ STL – Patriots controlled the whole game.
SEA @ DET – Huge win for the Lions and big day for Stafford.
WSH @ PIT – PIT defense did a good job containing RG3 and the Steelers offense rolled.
CAR @ CHI – Panthers looked like they were going to steal one, but the Bears were able to sneak out the win.
KC – Not sure if anyone watched this game, but the Raiders did pull out the win.
DAL – Game of inches. Poor play for both teams, but ultimately the Cowboys loss had a lot to do with coaching. Garrett has got to go. NO @ DEN – Denver defense showed up big time, holding the Saints offense to just 14 points.
SF @ ARZ – 49’ers controlled the whole game. These are the Cardinals that we know.
Overall Week 8 Record: 6-8
Overall Season Record: 70-47
Power Rankings for Week 9 will be up before game time on Thursday.
