NFL Week 3 – Picks
Every sunday I will be making picks for each game of every week. The game that occurs before that sunday, will be picked in the previous article of updated power rankings each week. This past thursday, I incorrectly picked the Panthers to beat the Giants. That puts me at a 21-12 mark on the season. Here are the rest of the picks for Week 3:
Week 3 (Winners in Bold and Italicized):
NYJ @ MIA – I thought one of the few games the Dolphins would win would be against the Jets in Miami. Well the team is looking pretty solid, and I am going to stick with it. Note: I might get killed for this pick.
TB @ DAL – Wow the Cowboys looked awful last week. Can’t imagine them getting trounced at home in back-to-back weeks.
STL @ CHI – Rams will fight, but the Bears will prove to be too much.
KC @ NO – Saints lose three in a row? Don’t see it. Saints at home take this one!
JAX @ IND – I’ll take Luck at home against this banged up defense.
SF @ MIN – Finally taking a road team in this game. 49’ers should continue to prove that they are the best in the west.
CIN @ WSH – The Redskins could have been looking at 3-0 if they had beaten the Rams. Redskins at home for the win.
DET @ TEN – Titans could be down early if the Lions attack their brutal secondary.
BUF @ CLE – Bills should take this one without a problem.
ATL @ SD – A battle of two 2-0 teams. I think the Falcons take this game.
PHI @ ARZ – If the Cardinals win this game I might start buying into them. However, a home win against a team that has 9 turnovers in two games, two 1 point wins, plus some injuries, wouldn’t totally shock me.
PIT @ OAK – Steelers a bit banged up on defense, but should still be able to beat the Raiders.
HOU @ DEN – Time for the Texans to show it’s fans they are contenders this year. Texans with a statement win on the road!
NE @ BAL – A great sunday night game for fans to watch. The injury to Hernandez may prove to hurt the Patriots more than the casual fan thinks. Add that to the fact that the Ravens will be looking for revenge from last year’s loss, I’ll take the Ravens at home.
GB @ SEA – Seattle could sneak away with a victory with a great defensive effort, but I’ll take the Packers on the road.
That wraps up the picks for week 3. I will update my (hopefully) above .500 record every sunday. Looking forward to having a great sunday. Good luck to your hometown team, and as always, Go Texans!
